1. The difference between flexible turns
Movable casters: can turn flexibly in the plane, it is worth noting that the turning radius with the brake is not the same, and the turning radius of the side brake and the double brake is not the same.
Fixed casters: only forward and backward.
2. The difference of linear motion stability
Movable casters: When walking quickly, it is easy to offset the direction, which leads to poor linear movement and is difficult to control.
Fixed casters: can walk quickly, not easy to occur direction offset, because the left and right direction is locked, can only move forward or backward.
3. The difference in road roughness requirements
Movable casters: suitable for flat road surface, usually used in indoor situations.
Fixed casters: can adapt to a certain degree of uneven road surface, can be used outdoors.
4. Difference in cost
Movable casters: Movable casters of the same model tend to cost more than fixed casters because of their more complex design and more features.
Fixed casters: relatively cheap, if there are no special requirements, choose fixed casters, but usually active casters will be used with fixed casters.
